Southwest Virginia Regional Dental Center and Tazewell Community Health Center Celebrates Oral Health Month

April is Oral Health Month and Southwest Virginia Community Health Systems is encouraging all patients to get on board.

Southwest Virginia Community Health System offers dental services in two locations in Southwest Virginia: Saltville Regional Dental Center in Saltville, Va. and Tazewell Community Health Center in Tazewell, Va.

Dental Director, Amber Hubble, RDH, said, “Oral health touches every aspect of our lives but is often taken for granted. Your mouth is a window into the health of your body. It can show signs of nutritional deficiencies or general infection. Systemic diseases, those that affect the entire body, may first become apparent because of mouth lesions or other oral problems.”

Southwest Virginia Regional Dental Center and Tazewell Community Health Center is celebrating Oral Health Month by encouraging patients to wear purple on Friday, April 29, 2019 to any appointment at any Southwest Virginia Community Health System site. Purple is synonymous with dental hygiene and has been the official color of dental professionals since 1897.

Hubble said, “Our dental teams are committed to your total dental care.  Our mission is to make a positive difference in the lives of children, youth and adults by offering the highest quality, friendly, convenient, and affordable dental care.”

Southwest Virginia Community Health Systems accepts nearly all insurance plans, Medicaid, FAMIS, and offer sliding fee scale for qualifying patients.

To schedule your appointment at either dental facility, please call 276-496-4492.
