Southwest Virginia Community Health Systems’ Bristol Community Health Center is welcoming a new medical provider Daniel Arrabi, MD, to better serve the patients of the Bristol community and surrounding areas.
Arrabi started at SVCHS in July 2024, but has been working in the medical field for seven years. He is board-certified through the American Board of Family Medicine and completed his residency through Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, Va. in affiliation with Ballad Health. He graduated in 2020 from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies.
“After graduating in 2020, I pursued a Family Medicine residency in Abingdon, Virginia, where I had the honor of serving and getting to know my local community. During my residency, I honed my skills in providing comprehensive care to patients of all ages, with a focus on preventive medicine, chronic disease management, patient education, and building lasting relationships with patients, which are key principles in Family Medicine,” Arrabi said.
Arrabi credits multiple areas of interest for his drive to pursue a career within the medical field.
“My passion for medicine stems from a deep desire to make a difference in people’s lives. Growing up, I was always fascinated by the science behind the human body and how it works, but what truly inspired me to pursue a career in medicine was witnessing the impact that compassionate care can have on patients and their families. I realized that a career in the medical field would allow me to combine my love for science with my desire to help others, providing not just treatment, but also support and understanding during some of the most challenging moments of their lives,” Arrabi said.
Outside of working, Arrabi enjoys spending time outdoors, especially hiking, fishing, and exploring the trails in the area. He also enjoys cooking and trying out new recipes, as well as spending time with family and friends.
“These activities help me unwind and stay connected with the people and places that matter most to me,” Arrabi said.
Arrabi specializes in family medicine, which allows him to provide comprehensive care to patients of all ages, from newborns to seniors.
“My favorite thing about being a medical provider is the privilege of building lasting relationships with my patients. I love being able to offer continuity of care, guiding them through various stages of their lives and helping them navigate their health journeys. It’s incredibly rewarding to see the positive impact that personalized, compassionate care can have, whether it’s managing chronic conditions, providing preventive care, or supporting patients through difficult times. The trust my patients place in me is something I deeply value, and it motivates me to continually strive to provide the best possible care,” Arrabi said.
Arrabi is accepting new patients now, along with same-day appointments being available, at Bristol Community Health Center located at 2195 Euclid Avenue, Suite 202, Bristol, VA 24201.
