Southwest Virginia Community Health Systems (SVCHS) will be hosting the Ballad Health Mobile Health Coach to perform mammograms at each of the four community health centers during the month of February for patients.
The Mobile will be each of the four sites on the following days:
Meadowview Community Health Center –Will be held at Administrative Office due to lack of parking space (13191 Glenbrook Avenue, Meadowview, VA 24361)
When: Tuesday, February 4th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Location: Saltville Community Health Center (308 West Main Street Saltville, VA 24370)
When: Wednesday, February 5th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Location: Bristol Community Health Center (2195 Euclid Avenue, Suite 202, Bristol, VA 24201)
When: Thursday, February 13th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Location: Tazewell Community Health Center (386 Ben Bolt Avenue Tazewell, VA 24651)
When: Monday, February 24th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Ballad Health mobile health coach is the newest tool to help improve the health of our communities and encourage wellness in the mountains of Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia.
The mobile health coach provides convenient, cost-effective access to life-saving screenings, which can help identify health risks early, when conditions can be more effectively treated. The mobile health coach will be making stops throughout the region, bringing superior health care with compassion directly to the communities we serve.
Claim will be filed with health plan carrier. This preventive service is covered at 100%. Recommendation is for a screening mammogram every 1 to 2 years for women age 40 years and older. Patients who are uninsured are also invited to schedule an appointment due to Ballad Health having grants to cover the screening, as well as any follow up treatments that might be needed.
